"SERU GALA" Hiking.

As I told you before, last Monday I visited Aluwiharaya Mountain with my university friends. It’s called “SERU GALA”. It’s really a coincidence. We were talking about going to visit HULANGALA in Yatawaththa but we decided to go to SERU GALA on Sunday. So that day we all came to the Aluwiharaya Temple at 08.30 in the morning. There are 12 of my friends participated in our trip. Then we went to the temple and started our journey. It was very lucky that it was not a rainy day. It took us about half an hour to go to the top of the mountain. We didn’t feel tired due to the shade of the surrounding trees. The road to the top was a bit difficult. We had to climb to the top of the rocks and the roots of the trees. There were wasps in some places. They are very large in size. Fortunately, we were not bothered by them.

After going up the hill we could see the very beautiful Buddha statue. The statue is gold in color and it is very huge. There was a wonderful surrounding.  Cold wind relaxed our minds. Then we get our lunch from there. After having  lunch, we get so many photographs and videos. Also, we sang songs. It was such amazing moment in my life. Finally, we turned to come back. It was a beautiful day. That was the first time I met my university friends those who live in Matale. So, another wonderful day was added to my memory book.

Aluwiharaya Rock Cave Temple 🙏🌼

Aluwiharaya temple is a very important historical place that located in Matale District. The main significance of this is the glorification of the Tripitaka. That was around 89 BC. The Aluwiharaya Temple become world famous after the 5^th  Buddhist Council and the glorification of the Tripitaka for the first time in the world.

Last Saturday I went to Aluwiharaya with a friend. There I collected a number of photos of the amazing location among the large rock caves. Also, the roofs of Buddha image house were made of huge rocks. There were some places where large rocks were trapped by small boulders. They are really amazing.

The old stupa of the Aluwiharaya is located at a considerable height from the ground level. From there, the surroundings look very admirable. Riverstone and knuckles mountains can also be seen there.  The Aluwiharaya Temple holds an annual procession. It was started in July 1973. This procession which has been since then and it named “SANGAYANA MAHA PERAHARA”. During this procession, those who like to climb mountains climb the huge rocks in Aluwiharaya.

About five years ago, a huge Buddha statue created in the hill above the temple. I have not been to there yet but visitors say that from there can see many beautiful places in Matale. I’m also planning to go see there soon.

So, when you come to Matale don’t forget to visit the Aluwiharaya Temple.

Loving Parents👪

When we growing up our parents getting old. As I think that is the saddest thing for a child. Sometimes I thought why we grew up? If we were like kids, our parents would still be young and very healthy. We can play with them. Also they take us on their lap and will cradle us. That childhood was awesome. We only knew about our mother and father. Our whole world was in their lap. However that is something that will never happen in real life. We have to face reality. So, don’t waste your valuable time. Time is not just a thing, it will be a golden memory. Tell your parents to how much you love them. Stay with them whenever you can. Spend more time with your loving mother and father. Even we are older we are still we are still kids to our parents. Let them see it in you. My only wish is for our parents to be healthy and log lives. Let’s we pray triple gem bless for our loving parents.💖

When I was grade 09, a pretty girl came to the 9-D class from new. She had chosen music too. So, one day she joined us to go to the music room. In those days she was very innocent and she did not speak loudly. After few days we knew about each other’s and we became good friends. Her name is Anupama but we all say Anu. That’s her nickname. Anu is three months older than me. Her Birthday is 18^th of July. 

She lives with her parents and with her only sister. Anu is very beautiful and also, she has a beautiful long hair but she is shorter than me. She likes dogs and cats and she is very kind to all animals. Sometimes she is hot tempered but she gets normally few moments later also, Anu is very happy and talkative girl. When we were grade 12, we became best buddies. Both us chose art subjects to do A/L but she didn’t choose music. We participated in all the school work together and also, we went extra classes together. There are lot of flavors that happen in those things. They are too many to finish.

More than all of this, Anu was close to everything I had. She was with me all the time when I was missing lessons, when I had a problem, when I was in trouble and also, she helped me and it still is today. She likes a member of my family and I  her so much. As far as I know it is very difficult to find a good friend because a lot of people are opportunists and selfish.

Anu can cook well. I remember, when we in school she won an all-island essay competition and she received Rs.30000  as a gift. So, we told her to prepare a meal for us. Then the next day she made a chicken Deval, Chili paste with fried rice. Mmmm… I still remember that taste.  In those days, our teachers told her that she could be a writer because she could write so well. she write short stories, essays, poems and even scripts. Also, she can sing well. We have participated many music competitions when we in school. You know, my mom likes Anu more than me because she has won the heart of my familiars. Anu has been to our home many times. 

When there was no Sinhala teacher for her village school, she went to teach there. All those students passed Sinhala subject in O/L exam. This is how the students thank her. I'm so proud of Anu.

Now she is studding in the University of Peradeniya. Her ambition is to be a archaeologist. She works hard for it. The only grief we have is not being to study at the same university. I had to make up my mind because of the desire for my university. We meet whenever we can and going for a walk somewhere. My only wish for her is that Anu’s life be as successful as she wishes because she is a very good sister for me and I wish our friendship to forever be like this.💓

My favorite actress.

 

Sai Pallavi

My favorite actress is Sai Pallavi. She was  born on 09^th May  Now she is 29 years old. She lives in Kotagiri in India. I love her curly long hair. It’s so wonderful and also her blushing face makes her look cute. She is an Indian Actress. She has acted in Telugu, Tamil And also Malayalam Films.  Before coming to the film industry Sai has won a reality show in dance. She can dance well and she is known as the dancing queen of South Indian cinema. Sai Pallavi also an educated girl. She has a MBBS degree in 2016 from Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia.

Love Story(2021)

I have watched her all films. I never miss them. Some of her films are Dia, Padi Padi Leche Manasu, Fidaa, Kali, MCA, Premam etc. Every one of her films are so attractive but the one I like the most is the recently released Love Story movie. Naga Chaitanya act with her in this movie. This movie is a beautiful love story between a high-class family girl and a middle-class family boy. After watched this movie, it makes me cry. They act so sensitively.

She got film fare award for Fidaa & Premam

She is s recipient of several awards including two film fare awards for her performance in the films Premam and Fidaa. I think Dulquer Salman is the best person to act with Sai. It looked great in the Kali movie.

She is perfect with DD

I like the way she acts in every film and also, I like the way she dresses, styles her hair and puts on makeup. I think that’s the thin She has been my favorite actress. So now I’m waiting for her new movie to be released and I would love to meet her and talk. 

Nelligala International Buddhist Center

As I told you in the previous post, we arrived at the Nelligala Temple After Ambuluwawa. It is not only a temple, it also an International Buddhist Center in Sri Lanka. This place is really peaceful. Even if someone is in a trouble, if he goes and sits there, his mind will be healed. I can say that for sure.

When we got there, it was about 4 pm. There was a rainy sky with a little dew. So that surrounding brought a very clean feeling to my mind. There was a row of very beautiful Buddha statues and they are golden color. The stupa was also painted in gold color. To me it really felt like a heaven in there. Every design there create that feeling. They are really amazing.

The Saman Deva statue is a beautiful creation that will catch the eye of anyone who comes here. It depicts the god Saman on a  white elephant. The statue looks like it is in the sky. Also, the flowers, small ponds and varies plants are neatly arranged in there. It looks so beautiful.

 As soon as it rained, we left from there. There were several small boutiques below the temple. From them we bought some sweets and a few things to remember about our trip.

That is how our journey ended. When we arrived in Matale, it was around 7 pm. I had to listen to some complaints from home because I was late. However, a wonderful day ended with a lot of beautiful memories.

AMBULUWAWA TOWER

Ambuluwawa Tower can be seen at the top of the hill.

Ambuluwawa is a wonderful place which situated in Gampola. We went a nice trip to climb the Ambuluwawa tower. Of course I had heard of Ambuluwawa but I did not think it was such an amazing place. We went there on March 20 This year. Some of my best friends and their friends joined with us. We took a small bus for our trip. There were about 20 of them all. When we reached the entrance of Ambuluwawa, we had stop the bus there then we decided to go on foot from there.

There surroundings are so beautiful and that nature is amazing. The area we passed is richly diverse with evergreen forests, flower plants as well as creepers and lot of endemic plants and also medicine plants. There is a cool mountain breeze in the area due to this reason. We moved forward slowly among them and we captured lots of pictures. That walk was not easy as we thought. At least it had about 03 miles to walk. There were a lot of friends, so sometimes we stopped on the way and somehow we came to the top.

At the entrance to the tower we have tp get a ticket again and they check out us in there. Things like helmets, handbags are not allowed for upstairs because that things have fallen down and been damaged before. Ambuluwawa is a large winding tower. It has to climb both inside and outside the tower but after going halfway up, we can only climb from out side. Then we can see such amazing view covered by the mist below. However, once the mist clears off the view can be scary those who have a fear of height. I had never climbed this height before so this was a weird experience for me. I also felt a thrill. As we go up, the stairs gradually narrow. Everyone coming down and going up has to go through those narrow stairs. Although it had a handrail, I was too scared to go that way inasmuch, the mist was gone and the below was very clear. It's very cold at the top. Then my hands were shivering. Ambuluwawa climbing is not dangerous or risky but taking pictures as an adventurous from the top of the tower is very dangerous. We stands in a very small space at the top. It can easily slip and fall down. I think climbing this tower is also dangerous for children. Others can climb this carefully.

It was a Saturday, so there were more people. Then me and my Friends decided to going back without going to upper stair because there situation was a bit dire. 

Ambuluwawa is the first multi-religious sanctuary in Sri Lanka. Pilgrimage elements belonging to all religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism and Islam have been created here. It was really beautiful.

There is another small tower in the shape of the Ambuluwawa tower. Also we climbed it. After that we walked back down again. When we go to the bus, we were very hungry and tired. We decided to have our lunch from there. We had prepared rice and so many delicious curries from home. So the lunch was very tasty.

Our journey did not stop from there. Next We went to the Nelligala International Buddhist Center in Kandy. I hope to tell about the Nelligala temple from the next post. Don't forget to visit amazing Ambuluwawa after this COVID-19 situation.

My school is CHRIST CHURCH NATIONAL COLLEGE in Matale. It was my first and only school. I admitted there in 2006. That's for my grade one. My school was established on 1864 and it has a proud history of 157 years. Our past principles are very dedicated to the progress of our school. There are so many great and famous people had out from my school. Moreover, it has a top place in sports, cadet teams, aesthetic fields and all other educational activities. 

My school was helped me to come this far in my academic journey. I can say it anywhere. My teachers also taught us thinking we were their own children. Fear of embarrassment to come forward last all of this and I gained confidence from my school platform. The beautiful surrounding of my school also provided a good environment for us to learn. I must say, we were able to maintain the first  place among all the schools in the Matale District as a very beneficial and clean school.

My favorite palace in the school is the music room. There are so many beautiful memories of my life in there. Everything I learned from my loving music teachers will still be remembered in there. My school memories from grade 01 to 13 are fantastic but my mind always stops at grade 12 and 13. It was a time of great intimacy with my friends and teachers. It was a time of great support for school work. So, there was a lot of connection with that time. How sad! it was the same time that passed very quickly. The way we had fun, the way we laughed and learned was all like a dream. I don't think such a wonderful time like that will ever come again.

I feel indescribable emotions when I am reminded of my school. At the some time it feels very sad. However, I would like to thank Mother Churchian, with all my heart. Without the strength of my school I would not be able to come here today. One of my wonderful dream is to work as a music teacher at my own school. I try my best to achieve it. Then again I can go to school with wonderful memories of the past.  💚

Wonderful FINLAND...

If there is one country I would like to go to someday, it is Finland. Because it is such a wonderful country. As my knowledge Finland is the happiest country in the world. And I really like Finland's very satisfying education system. There official languages are Finnish And Swedish. But it doesn't require knowing Finnish or Swedish. It is enough to know only English. I told before Finland is the happiest country in the world. So, there are many factors that make Finland such a happy country. The Finnish welfare system, free high-quality education, free healthcare, gender equality, clean nature, a high degree of personal freedom and a well-functioning society are some of them. As I know there education system in non-stressed one. Of course, it is not  surprising that even when you think about such a thing, you feel so happy. Not only that, Finland is regarded as one of the safest country in the world. 

Also Finland has a beautiful nature. There are four seasons in Finland. They are summer, autumn, winter and spring. I would love to see winter and spring season in there. There are so many wonderful places to visit in Finland. Below are some of them.

My Happiness

💗As I think I have the luckiest family in the world. I have been very close to my family since I was a child. The main reason is that my parents are like friends to me. If there is any success in my life, it is my family behind it. My thaththa worked abroad. But we did not feel that he was far from us. The only reason is that my amma and thaththa are so close. Sometimes there are some small fight, but they do not go so long. My favorite place in our home is the kitchen. Because we're talking there when amma makes us delicious food. Somedays thaththa and me sing songs. He plays the guitar too. Amma and malli can't sing well but they also join with us. My amma very close to me every time. It still make easier to do my studies. My malli is also a great strength to me. He takes care of me. But we fight a little however that moments make us really fun. I remember thaththa said one day, ' The four of us are like a chain. If one of them escapes, the others will not be able to be happy together '. It was just before thaththa left the country. I remember it like it is today. I can't imagine how to stay away from home when I started university. I know it's going to be hard for me to do for a while. I don't want to be too rich. I want to be happy forever with amma, thaththa and malli.  I can't finish saying this about my home and my family. I am ready to be anything for my family. I love them so much.💗
